Appointment waiting times:

Please be advised that the Pain Service is currently experiencing a period of high demand and waiting times for appointments are longer than we would like, (approximately 26 weeks) we are working on reducing this. Please be reassured that we will contact patients to arrange appointments as soon as we can. Should patients feel their symptoms have deteriorated considerably since they were referred, they are advised to contact their GP. Should patients need to contact the Pain Service in relation to their appointment a message can be left on 01823 343151 or sent to PainService@SomersetFT.nhs.uk .Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are carefully considering alternative ways of delivering our service so that we can continue to support you without placing you at unnecessary risk of infection.

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE. Thank you.

  • PLEASE NOTE: There have been recent changes with the locations of the Somerset Community Pain Management Service across the county.

We are currently providing and will continue to provide clinics at Creech St. Michael Medical Centre, Taunton, Cranleigh Medical Centre in Bridgwater, Minehead Community Hospital and Dene Barton Community Hospital.

Instead of Ryalls Park Medical Centre in Yeovil, we will be providing clinics at Summervale GP surgery in Ilminster.

Clinics in Frome community Hospital, will be replaced with clinics in Wincanton Community Hospital.

We hope these two changes of locations will not affect the good working relationship we have with those that refer people to our service and people who attend.

Please contact us on 01823 343151 or email painservice@tst.nhs.uk  if you have any queries.
